Truth Be Told - product review: KMOV - Great Day St. Louis plays Truth Be Told INO Mommy game night review TRUTH BE TOLD perfect for game night: inomommy.com What The Stuff (WTS) toy review - Truth Be Told five star rated: wtstoyreview.com When Tara Met Blog: tarametblog.com Game Daze Paradise Valley Mall Employee, Adrian November 2009 - "Truth Be Told: I Love this Game!!" And to be honest how can you not? This is one of the best party games I have played in a long time! Truth Be Told is fast play and can get very silly, truth be told it is a laugh riot! This game is a MUST HAVE for the family's game closet, trust me! | Game Daze Tucson Mall Manager, Ron October 2009 - If you take Apples to Apples or Say Anything and add in a dash of Balderdash, you may get the idea of what you’re looking at with Truth Be Told. In this game, players take turns being the Host, who draws a card with a statement in which they must honestly fill in the blank, like "Truth be told, I used to have a poster of ______." The Host and the other players write their answer on a card, secretly—the Host is truthful, and the other players make up something believable. There’s a system for replacing duplicates, which I won’t get into—suffice it to say there will be no duplicates for the next part. The host then reads the answers aloud, being sure to avoid suspicion on any answer (this is where the bluffing comes in). The players then vote on the correct answer by secretly writing it on a paddle. After the players take turns revealing their votes, the Host reveals the true answer, and points are scored: one point for each correct vote goes to the players and the host, and each player whose bluff answer is voted on gets a point as well. The first player with 15 points wins. Truth Be Told is a laugh-out-loud game for a group of close friends or family; it would also serve as a great icebreaker for older students and in the workplace. With over 564 Truth Be Told statements, the game also has a lot of replay value. This may be my new favorite party game! |
Likewise! - product reviews:
Great party game!, February 8, 2010 By Patricia Mentz (Tucson, AZ)
My grown children, my husband, and I had a wonderful time playing this game which I bought as a present for my daughter. Later, I used the same premise of the game to make a homemade version to play with my friends. Even though I enjoyed thinking up adjectives and nouns for my own version, I still recommend buying this game since the paddles and game board really add to the enjoyment and their adjectives and nouns are great.
Good fun!, January 1, 2010 Michele P. (Central NJ)
We played this with a wide range of ages: From 10 to 40 years old. Everyone enjoyed the imaginative and often humorous answers given. Another reviewer goes into the details of the game, so I'll just say it's easy to set up & begin right away, fun to play, and definitely good for a few laughs.
"I played Likewise! at the last game night I went to & enjoyed it a lot. It was a fun way to get people in the gaming mood & especially people just meeting for the first time" - Dawn
"Likewise!, undeniably, is the best new board game I’ve played since Imaginiff came out. It could definitely replace Boxers or Briefs as my favorite new party game as well." -Lela 5 out of 5 stars LikeWise I'm Sure!, August 12, 2009 By: Little ol Me Durability: 5 out of 5 stars Fun: 5 out of 5 stars Educational: 5 out of 5 stars Great new twist on games. I don't know anything else like this. It's intriguing to see how your friends play their answers. All sorts of people will have a lots of fun playing this game. This is a really fun game. It is very easy to set up and very easy to understand. No long confusing instructions to read and understand. Just get it out and play! My sister brought this out for my birthday party and it was so much fun! It says ages 12 and up, but we played with an 8 year old who absolutely loved this game! Our group had people ages 8,15,16,17,30's & 40's. Everyone loved it. You have two sets of cards stacked next to each other face down. You flip one card over from each stack and put them next to each other. This creates the "thing" you try to answer. You write your answer on a dry erase board and don't show anyone. Sometimes you have to draw your answer as a picture, which really adds to the fun! When everyone is ready, you reveal your answer to everyone at the same time. Who ever has the same answer gets a point, which is written on a score card. The person with the most points wins. After shuffling, there are so many different possible combinations of drawing the cards, the game is new every time! I highly recommend this game to everyone! It is good clean fun, which is hard to find these days! 5 out of 5 stars Great New Twist, June 17, 2009 By: Love Games ( Florida, USA) Durability: 4 out of 5 stars Fun: 4 out of 5 stars Educational: 4 out of 5 stars Great new twist on games. I have played it many time with both family and friends, and everyone has loved it. The wipe off boards are a wonderful idea, and I love the likewise and doole options! I am normally a very competitive person when playing a game but likewise is so much fun to relax and goof around with, I love answering with outrageous answers just to see what kind of reaction I get! |
Fun Game, January 9, 2010 Lisa Dickman (LostNation, IA)
I ordered this for my 9 year old daughter who loves to play games. She loves it! The only disadvantage it has is that it needs to have a group of players to be really fun. Somethimes she wants to play a game and it is just the two of us, so we are limited to what we can play. We laughed a lot when reading the cards and trying to match them to a picture on a T-shirt and I guss that is the main thing. A fun inexpensive game.
T-Shirt Game -We played the demo, tears coming out of our eyes, the staff LOVED this game, I just video-taped one round, we --I---couldn't even speak we were laughing so hard. This one is going to be a Kidstop favorite!
From Kate Tanner at Kidstop
T-Shirt Game - Your t-shirt game is loads of fun! My family loves playing it! Thanks! Jim Moker
T-Shirt Game - I was a part of the Cinema City Film Festival. I wanted to write and let you know how much I love your games! I played it with my nieces and nephews, and they were through the roof about it! Thanks so much! Sincerely, Andrea Marchant | It's Apples to Apples with a twist!, October 13, 2009 By Micheal Ceciliani | (New York City) - | Durability: 4.5 out of 5 stars Fun: 5.0 out of 5.0 stars Educational: 3.0 out of 5.0 stars The T-shirt Game is very similar to Apples to Apples, only here, you're submitting a caption for the T-shirt picture instead of an adjective. The game can be played by winning points or the T-shirt. The point system is flawed and will make the game go forever, so it's probably best to just say the first to get five or six T-shirts wins. Or go around and have everyone be a judge an equal number of times, the one with the most T-shirts wins. Like Apples, everyone takes turns being the judge. A great party game I've brought to my gaming group and conventions. It always provides a good time and some laughs. The only problem is if you play the game a lot, you'll start seeing the same T-shirts and captions again. But there's enough variety to keep the game fresh. Still, I hope they make a second edition or an expansion pack for this game. Bottom line, if you like Apples to Apples, you'll like this game too! | | Silly & Fun!, October 7, 2009 By T. Palmer Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars I was introduced to this game, last weekend at our local RPG convention. Our players ranged in age from 11yrs to too big to tell(okay I'll be 20 again soon!). This is great for learner readers and parents, as players you pick the best slogan for the t-shirt card. And then the Judge picks a slogan as the winner. Everyone gets to take a turn at being the judge. The only thing we did different from the rules, was to ignore the Point cards... they are really not needed and we felt them unfair. We play like Apples to Apples, if your slogan is picked as the winner you keep the t-shirt card, play until one play receives X number (decided before game starts, we did 5 shirts) of t-shirts, and that player wins! Bottom line this game is fun, silly and simple. A great game for young and old. | | SO SO MUCH FUN!, July 10, 2009 By | Kearbear CareGiver (perkasie, pa United States) | My boyfriend and his daughters and I played The T-shirt game last night and had a BLAST, laughed a lot! That game is terrific!! Genius! We were surprised, you really have to play it to appreciate how fun and funny it really is, just looking at the box and reading the premise doesn't do it justice. What a great game! Great to play with kids but would be fun with just adults too | 5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for every and anyone!, May 30, 2009 By | Christine Clarahan (Philadelphia, PA) | Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
As a game enthusiast the T-Shirt Game is one of my very favorites. I've played with both my family and friends and no matter who you're with you're always going to have a good time - practically no set up and every time you play it's unique. A definite must have!!!

great game, February 6, 2010 By Rosemarie Payne (Lower Burrell, PA)Great party and family game. We play it at holiday get togethers with family and friends. We play in teams. Everyone liked it. Fun for our family, January 27, 2010 By J. Oneill (CT)We have several teenagers in our family, ranging in age from 12 to 16.We like to play games on Friday nights together as a family, aunts, uncles, cousins etc.. It is hard to find games they all enjoy playing together with no fighting. This game was perfect for that! We have so much fun when we play this game.

Also, you can play it numerous times without getting bored since the cards are always different and new people add new answers. it's a great game!!

Imaginiff, January 30, 2010 By Laughter Linda (TX)
Imaginiff has been a fun family game that provides laughter. The game is not based on knowing facts, just guessing character traits of fellow players. It doesn't take too long to play and anyone can win.
Terrific fun even if you don't keep score on the board., March 16, 2010 By Sandracat
Our youth group took only the cards on a very long bus trip and we played enroute. It's fun that you don't have to guess what the person will choose, just what you think everyone else will choose for that individual. "Imaginiff Kevin were a vacation site. What would he be? A health spa? A beach resort? A mountain climbing venue? An Alaskan cruise?" Participants pick the optionthey think everyone else will choose and the laughs don't stop. Even more, inside jokes develop among the players that last for days/weeks afterwards.
my family loves this game!!!, August 2, 2009 By L. Hendle (Sigonella, Itay(Military))
Our family plays this game a lot. It is also a great game to play with friends. We also like how you can play up to 8 people.
