Basics™ Writing Tablet: Boogie Board™

Is it 5x 7  8x10?   How big is it?

I bought my board in 2013. I use it daily in my job as a funder.  In my line of worker I take calls and make calls on a lot of loan packages and use this board on each one. I use it for calculations as well.  When I would go to a manager’s desk I’ve been known to leave it and it is always returned. I got this board because I needed to lower my work footprint. I could not see wasting the company money on using the stenobooks the supply us. I love this.  I’m actually looking for a second one to use with the one I have.  Thank you for an awesome product!!

I love my board.  I use it for quick calculations or my several notes.  I'm in the military and we go to tons of meetings.  A lot of info we receive is not necessary to keep long term so I jot it down on my boogie board for relaying verbally to the troops then I erase it.  This keeps the use of paper products down  and I can quickly jot down information with ease.

When the battery dies all you can do is throw it away and buy a new one. There is no way to change the battery and no way to erase.

We have used the boogie board with 2 children homeschooling and then transitioned it to the fridge for family notes... it is just now starting to slow down on the clear function.  It has had a rough life but was a great product.  I would highly recommend.

Warning: the Basics Writing Tablet contains a non-replaceable battery. I would recommend looking at the other models on this site.

It’s great but last one I had included a magnet on the back to attach it to a metal surface. Was disappointed this one didn’t. Other than that. - love it!

Does what it’s designed to do. Contrary to what other reviewers have stated the battery is replaceable. Just remove the 4 screws off the back and the battery is easily reachable. My only complaint is that it’s thin design makes is susceptible to being damaged from bending (which is what eventually did mine in). Got a lot of use out of it for the price.

The product has a clean look and functions well but I wish it had a magnet on the back.

This is our second one. We had our first one for about 8-10 years. We love the ease of being able to grab it to explain concepts do quick math or teach the kids. We use it for family polling to help make decisions. Small lists of todos. Just about anything that would normally take paper then be thrown away. Saves a lot of paper over its life.

I appreciate the thickness of the line created by the stylus the secure cover over the erase button the ample screen the slim frame and that it does not have a magnet because a magnet could interfere with other devices.

I love it but still waiting for the other one. It was a gift please where is it I did pay for 2

Great new design for a product we've used for 5 years in our escape rooms! Just perfect for taking temporary notes!

I love tge concept unfortunately oit is hard to see tge writing on the board there is not enough contrast for me. Also even though the dimensions are in the description the board kust seemed too small to use for anythin more than a short note .the size of the line made by the stylist is too thick to be able to write small enough to really make tge board useful.

The stylet should be anchored or tied to the board. My clients like it I have lost 2!

great product and super support that is easy to use

Excellent product. We have many. So useful! Buy this well-priced writing board.

Ordered this for a birthday present but it didn’t arrive in the time it said it would or for several days after. Had to get something else so this gets to live unopened in the closet.

I bought it several years ago and it still works. It'll be missed when the inbuilt nonreplaceable battery wears out though. Any suggestions when that occurs?

I bought this to help my son and daughter study for spelling tests. Works great. Very pleased.

I love this. I will be buying a couple more for my friends

Fast shipping the perfect size perfect for the car.

Great invention! I got rid of all my notepads and papers laying around and I use this almost every day

Boogie Board- Please do NOT DISCONTINUE this model. There are many of us that love this simple squared off style without the elongated bottom for stylus. If necessary I would buy two or three of these to have back ups. The board works well as expected and because it is lightweight and simple in design it is preferred by me and many other I know over some of your more complex models. The price is right and the design is perfect. PLEASE keep it in production. I can even put a couple of sheets of paper on top have my notes and also see the writing on the board as well. My colleagues my family and I love this small and simple board. Thank you. It is a genius product. Don't mess with it.

Grandkids of all ages absolutely love this! Keeps them off their electronics.

Many years ago maybe 8 or 10 my sister showed me the new product that she got for homeschooling her 4 kids. Boogie boards that stuck to her frig. Cool. After watching them for nearly a year I bought a set for my own 4 kids. Eventually they all died and the battery could not be replaced. We bought cheaper knock off versions. But when I found any Boogie boards on clearance we bought them. I even got one of the first Blackboards. So a few weeks ago my youngest brought her knock off to me to complain that it had died and replacing the battery did nothing to help. Bummer. She pleaded that I buy her a real one - she said Nothing works as good at the Boogie Boards. A few days later there was a sale offered. She is so happy to have a real one. I just hope it survived the fall when it flew out of her hands in her exuberant hopping about in joy.

Wish could delete individual lines instead of entire

It does the job well. I use it as scratch paper for doing math problems. I only wish it could erase portions of writing and not the whole thing.

I’m really pleased with this product! I wish I’d known about it sooner. I like not having to search around for scrap paper or buying additional notebooks/pads.

I have used boogie board for a couple of years now. I bought 2 more boogie boards to give to friends.

It's a gift so I haven't been able to see it firsthand yet. But from what I've heard it's worked out ok so far. For long trips it's come in handy and for going to restaurants easy no-mess situation quality stuff.

My 10 year old is obsessed! He doodles on his boogie board all the time and also uses it for scratch pad for math work.
